Initiative 01 — CSR Project
Living Library of Ancient Indian Knowledge
Preserving India's Manuscript Heritage
A long-term civilisational initiative for preservation, digitization, and dissemination
The Living Library is a long-term civilisational initiative focused on the preservation, digitization, and dissemination of India's ancient intellectual heritage.
For centuries, priceless manuscripts containing knowledge of astronomy, Ayurveda, philosophy, mathematics, architecture, yoga, and spiritual sciences have remained scattered, fragile, and inaccessible. The Living Library seeks to transform this reality by creating a structured ecosystem where knowledge is preserved, researched, and made available for meaningful learning.
This initiative combines traditional archival preservation with modern digital systems to ensure that rare texts and manuscripts remain protected and relevant in the modern era.
Key Areas
-
Manuscript PreservationScientific conservation and archival storage of rare texts and handwritten manuscripts.
-
DigitizationHigh-resolution scanning and creation of digital archives for long-term preservation.
-
ResearchScholarly study and interpretation of classical knowledge systems.
-
Public AccessStructured access for students, scholars, and knowledge seekers through library and digital platforms.
Closing Line
"The Living Library is not merely a repository of books — it is an evolving knowledge ecosystem designed to reconnect future generations with India's intellectual legacy."
